Abstract: 114 male undergraduates were classified into high and low macho groups based on their Hypermasculinity Inventory scores, and alternatively, on their choice of beverage (beer or soda pop). Both macho and beer-drinking Ss exhibited increased aggressive mood states in response to professional and amateur boxing films. Nonmacho Ss and pop drinkers generally failed to show increases in aggression. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2004 APA, all rights reserved)
