Abstract:  Investigated aggression in 81 female undergraduates who were either angered or treated in a positive or neutral manner prior to observing equally arousing aggressive, humorous, or control films. They were then allowed opportunities both to aggress against and reward the confederate instigator. Results indicate that for angered individuals both the aggressive and humorous films facilitated aggression, but that the type of film had no significant effects on reward behavior.
