Within the investigations of mass tragedies like Newtown, Tucson, and Columbine, the public continues to see that usage of violent video games is a factor in these atrocities. However, it’s only because the severity of those crimes prompt the level of scrutiny that investigators are aware of violent video game usage as a factor.
What about violence that happens every day that doesn’t make the headlines? What, if any, correlation exists for bullying, domestic violence, battery, and other violent crimes happening throughout our nation?
Without asking the right questions during the investigative process, it will be impossible to determine what link exists between violent media consumption and eventual acts of violence.
